Bobit Business Media Aquires New Publication and Trade Show - October, 2007: Bobit Business Media announced the addition of Hotrod & Restoration Magazine and Trade Show to its automotive aftermarket media group. Hotrod & Restoration Magazine is targeted to hot rod and restoration businesses including retailers, rod builders, restorers, engine builders, fabricators and machine shops. The Hotrod & Restoration Trade Show, held annually in Indianapolis, is the largest hot rod and restoration trade show in the world with more than 3,000 attendees and over 200 exhibitors. This latest acquisition brings Bobit Business Media’s holdings to: 26 print magazines, 12 trade shows and conferences, over 30 industry websites.

Campus Safety Magazine named Best Public Safety Magazine! The Maggie Awards, presented annually by the Western Publications Association, celebrate excellence in print and electronic publishing.

The 2007 F&I Conference and EXPO was named one of Tradeshow Week (TSW)’s 50 fastest-growing trade shows. The event will return to the Paris Las Vegas Hotel, September 16-18, 2008.

Recent Editorial Awards - Modern Tire Dealer received three medals from the International Automotive Media Competition (IAMC). MTD won two awards in the "Magazine Writing” category: Editorial - “Global Warming,” bronze to Bob Ulrich; and Personality Profile “Character Counts,” bronze to Mike Manges. MTD also won a silver medal in the “Special Sections” category (20,000-100,000 circulation) for its Performance Handbook with the award going to Mike Mavrigian (now with Precision Engine).
